What can I use instead of Google Forms for workshop registration?
Use an event registration page. On Event Flo, a workshop page takes sign-ups with your own screening questions, lets you approve each participant, caps seats with a waitlist and gives each confirmed participant a QR pass for check-in. It is free, with 0% platform fees: participants pay you directly, and guest ID checks are on by default.
- Platform fee: 0%
- Screening: Your questions, plus approval
- Seats: Hard cap, automatic waitlist
- Payments: Participants pay you directly
- Online sessions: Meeting link supported
- Guest ID check: On by default
What workshop & masterclass hosts run into
Uncommitted Sign-Ups Waste Preparation. Workshops require real preparation — materials, space, instructor time. People who sign up without financial commitment cancel at the last minute and waste your effort.
Wrong Skill Level Derails the Room. A beginner in an advanced masterclass slows down every other participant. Without vetting, you have no control over who actually shows up.
Collecting Workshop Fees is Painful. Bank transfers, UPI screenshots, WhatsApp follow-ups, tracking who paid — payment collection for workshops is where most host time goes.

Everything below is included at a 0% platform fee — there is no tier to upgrade to and no per-attendee charge.
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Government ID Verification | Verification is on by default for every event you publish except business events, and you can switch it off: unverified participants can send a request, and their spot is confirmed once their ID is verified. Real, accountable people who have cleared identity verification are more likely to show up and engage. |
| Application-Based Enrollment | Review every registration request before confirming. Ask for skill level, experience, or motivation at sign-up. Only enroll participants who fit your session. |
| One Price, Paid Directly | Set one registration price per session, or keep it free. Participants pay you directly, on your own UPI or bank account. |
| Capacity Management | Set a hard cap on participants to maintain workshop quality. Automatic waitlisting fills spots if confirmed registrants cancel — no manual follow-up. |
| QR Check-In on Session Day | Check participants in on arrival via QR scan on any phone. See who has arrived, who is still expected, and track attendance per session. |
| 0% Platform Fees | Every rupee from your workshop ticket goes directly to you. No subscription, no per-registration percentage, no hidden charges. |
How to set up workshop registration on Event Flo
- Create the workshop. Add the date, the venue or an online meeting link, the seat cap and one price, or keep it free. A public workshop saves as a draft and publishes once your government ID is approved, usually within an hour; a private event can go live right away.
- Add your screening questions. Ask what you would have put on a form: skill level, what they want to make, equipment they own. Answers can be text, a yes or no, a number, a link, an email or a phone number.
- Approve the right participants. Turn on approval and confirm the people who fit the session. If you charge, confirm each person once their fee lands. When someone cancels, the seat opens to the waitlist.
- Check participants in. Scan each QR pass from any phone browser and see who has arrived and who is still expected.

Frequently asked questions
Is Event Flo free for workshop hosts?
Yes. Event Flo charges 0% platform fees on all events. You keep 100% of your registration revenue — participants pay you directly, so there are no processing charges through the platform either.
How do I screen participants before confirming them?
Turn on approval and add screening questions to the registration form, such as skill level, experience or what they hope to learn. Each request then reaches you with its answers, and you confirm the people who fit and decline the rest. With Guest ID check on (the default), each request comes from a person whose government ID has been verified, so you are not screening anonymous sign-ups.
How do I collect workshop fees?
Set your workshop ticket price on the event page and collect directly from participants — your own UPI or a bank transfer. With approval mode on, you confirm each registrant yourself, for example once the fee lands in your account: mark them paid first, so their ticket email doesn't ask for the fee again. Event Flo tracks registrations and lets you mark each participant paid, with what those fees work out to, but never holds the money.
Can I run recurring workshop series on Event Flo?
Yes, one session at a time: each session is its own event with its own registrations and check-in. Post the first, then duplicate it and change the date for the next. There is no single sign-up that covers a whole series, so participants register for each session; for a regular class, run it as an Event Flo community so members see every new session.
What types of workshops work well on Event Flo?
Event Flo works for pottery, photography, yoga, cooking, coding, art, music, fitness, wellness, and professional skill workshops. Any workshop where attendance commitment and participant vetting matter.
Can I host recurring yoga classes with verified members?
Yes. Set your yoga class up as an Event Flo community: students join once, and joining requires a verified government ID, so everyone on your class list is a real person. Post each class as its own event — members-only if you like — with a capacity that matches your studio or park spot, and students RSVP and check in with a QR code. If you charge, students pay you directly by UPI, bank transfer or cash; Event Flo takes 0%.
What can I use instead of Google Forms for workshop registration?
A registration page built for events does what a form does, and runs the seats too. On Event Flo, participants sign up on your workshop page and answer your questions, and you approve each one. Seats stop at your cap, cancellations open to the waitlist, reminders go out by email, and each confirmed participant gets a QR pass. Already have sign-ups in a Google Sheet? Download it as a CSV file and import it.
How do I organise a paid workshop?
Price it to cover materials, space and your time, and cap seats at the number you can teach well. On Event Flo, set one price for the session; participants pay you directly by UPI, bank transfer or cash, and Event Flo takes 0%. Turn on approval and confirm each person once their fee lands, so every seat on your list is paid for. Duplicate the workshop to run the next session.
Do I need to verify my ID before my event goes live?
Yes, for a public or members-only event: you verify a government ID once before it goes live. You can build your workshop now, screening questions included, and save it as a draft. A person on the Event Flo team reviews your ID, usually within an hour, and the workshop publishes once it is approved. A private event can go live right away: until your ID is verified, guests join by invite or at the door. You verify once, not for every session.
