What ID is accepted for government ID verification on Event Flo?

Event Flo accepts any government-issued photo ID: Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, driving licence, or voter ID (India). For US events: US passport, state driver's licence, or state ID card.

How does ID verification work on Event Flo?

Guests upload a photo of their government-issued ID during onboarding. The Event Flo team manually reviews each submission. Once verified, the guest can RSVP to any event on the platform. Verification is one-time — guests don't repeat it for each event.

Is ID verification required for every event?

By default, yes. Government ID verification is on for every new event, so RSVPs are blocked until the guest's ID is verified, and hosts can turn it off per event. Verification is one-time, so once you are verified you never repeat it for another event.

How is my ID data stored and protected?

ID documents are encrypted at rest and in transit and kept in private storage that only the Event Flo team can open. They are used only for verification and are never shared with event organizers or other guests. Your document is deleted 7 days after your account is verified, or within a day if it is rejected or you upload a newer one. Deleting your account deletes it too.

Can organizers see guests' ID documents?

No. Organizers never see ID documents. They see only that a guest is verified, along with the guest's profile photo and name. Full document details remain private and accessible only to the Event Flo review team.

How long does ID verification take?

Verification is usually reviewed within an hour; at busy times it can take longer. Once verified, your status is permanent — you don't reverify for future events.

What happens if a guest's ID is rejected?

Guests whose documents cannot be verified are notified and given the option to resubmit with a clearer image. Accounts that submit fraudulent documents are permanently banned from the platform.

Does ID verification apply to organizers too?

Yes. Event organizers also complete government ID verification before they can create and publish events. With guest verification on by default, both hosts and guests are verified, creating mutual accountability on both sides of the event.

Can I use Aadhaar for ID verification on Event Flo?

Yes. Event Flo accepts a photo of your Aadhaar card for government ID verification, for hosts and guests alike — a PAN card, passport, driving licence or voter ID works too. A person on the Event Flo team reviews the upload by hand; there is no Aadhaar OTP or e-KYC step, and hosts and other guests never see your Aadhaar. The image is kept in private storage and deleted 7 days after your account is verified.

What makes an event host trustworthy and verified?

On Event Flo, a verified host is one who has passed government ID verification — every host must before they can publish an event. Beyond the badge, look for a public organizer profile with past events and reviews from past guests, and for controls that protect you: ID-checked RSVPs (on by default), approval of each guest, and single-use QR tickets checked at the door. A trustworthy host also states the house rules, the capacity and how to reach them before you arrive.

Why should I verify guests before my event?

Verifying guests means everyone at your event is a real, accountable person rather than an anonymous account. On Event Flo, government ID verification is on by default: RSVPs are blocked until the guest's ID is verified, so fake and throwaway profiles cannot take a spot, and any report about a guest is tied to a real identity. It matters most when strangers meet in a private space — house parties, dinners, early-morning runs. You never handle the documents yourself: Event Flo reviews them, and hosts see the verified status, never the ID.
