How do I attend a house party?

Create an account, find an event in Discover and tap "Register" or "Request to Join". If the event checks ID (on by default), upload a photo of your government ID once; your spot is confirmed after it is approved, and you can save your request first and upload right after. If the host approves requests, wait for their decision. At the door, show the QR code on your ticket.

Why should I pay first?

Most events on Event Flo are free to join! When a host charges entry, you pay the host directly — their UPI or whatever method they prefer — never through Event Flo. Paying upfront secures your spot (events have limited capacity), helps hosts plan with confirmed attendance, reduces no-shows keeping events high-quality, and fairly compensates hosts who open their spaces.

How will I know if my request is approved or disapproved?

Check the event page: it shows "Request sent" while the host reviews it, "You're in" once you are approved and "Request not approved" if the host declines. We also email you when the host decides. Once you are in, your QR code ticket is under Tickets & saved in your account.

On what basis are guests approved?

Hosts who turn on approval review each request themselves. Event Flo does not rank or filter requests. Hosts can see whether your ID is verified, your profile and your answers to their questions, and people on a host's VIP list are approved automatically.

On what basis are guests disapproved?

A host can decline any request, for example when the event is for a set group or you have been blocked by that host. Some things are not a decline: if the event is full you join the waitlist, and if the event checks ID your request waits until your ID is approved. Events with an age limit stop anyone under it from registering.

Why attend verified events instead of random gatherings?

Because on a verified event someone accountable is behind it. On Event Flo every host of a public or members-only event verifies a government ID before it goes live, and guest ID checks are on by default, so each guest who signs up through the event page is confirmed only after their ID is verified by a person on the Event Flo team; hosts never see the document. Many hosts also approve each guest, tickets are single-use QR codes scanned at the door, and for house parties the exact address reaches only confirmed guests, from 2 hours before start. A gathering found through a forwarded link has none of that. Hosts can switch guest ID checks off per event, and extra seats on someone's booking are not ID-checked. A private event can go live before its host is verified; until then its guests join by invite or at the door.
