Community Guidelines — Host & Guest Rules

Event Flo works because people turn up as who they say they are and treat each other well. These guidelines say what that means in practice, for hosts and guests alike. They sit alongside our Terms of Service; if the two ever differ, the Terms apply. Last updated October 5, 2026.

1. Be who you say you are

Use your real name and your own details. One person, one account.

Verify with your own government ID. Never someone else’s, and never an altered one.

Do not pretend to be another person, host, venue or brand.

2. Hosting

Describe the real event: what it is, where and when, the price and any age limit. No invented lineups, venues or crowds.

Get the permissions your event needs, and follow local rules on alcohol, noise and gatherings. The legal drinking age differs between Indian states; check yours.

Use your guests’ details only to run that event. No marketing lists, no reselling.

For a house party, keep the address out of the description and public messages. Event Flo releases it to approved guests two hours before the start.

Honour the approvals you give. If you cancel, cancel on Event Flo so your guests are told. Any refund of money you took is yours to handle, since Event Flo never holds it.

3. Attending

Respect the host’s rules and their space, especially when it is their home.

Your ticket is yours. If you book for friends, you vouch for them.

Do not forward or post a house party’s address.

Cannot make it? Withdraw, so someone on the waitlist gets your place.

Leave when the host asks you to.

4. Treat people well

No harassment, threats, stalking or hate, on Event Flo or at an event.

Consent matters, in person and in messages. No means no.

Do not attack or demean anyone for their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality or disability.

5. Photos and posts

Post only photos and material you have the right to use. Another organiser’s poster or photos are not yours to post.

Ask before you post photos of other people, and take a photo down if the person in it asks you to.

Nothing sexually explicit, and nothing that sexualises or harms children.

Reviews should be honest accounts of an event you attended.

No spam, scams or misleading links.

6. Communities

Community owners and co-hosts run their community, and for a private community they decide who joins.

What members share inside a community stays there. Do not copy member lists or contact members for anything unrelated to the community.

7. Staying safe

Identity verification tells you someone is who they say they are. It is not a background check, and it does not guarantee anyone’s behaviour.

Event Flo does not vet events, inspect venues or supervise what happens at them.

Tell a friend where you are going, and plan your way home.

If someone is in danger, call 112.

8. If something goes wrong

Hosts can block a guest from their future events.

To report a listing, profile, photo, comment or person, email our Grievance Officer at grievance@event-flo.com with a link and what happened. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours; our Grievance Redressal page explains the rest.

We may remove content, undo an identity verification, or stop providing the service to anyone who breaks these guidelines.
