What We've Learned Running ID-Verified Events

We review every government ID by hand, and verification is on by default for every event, so an unverified member cannot RSVP unless the host turns it off. It is slower than an automated check, but it is the single reason hosts tell us they finally feel safe opening their homes to strangers — there is a real person behind every verified profile.

Approval-based registration changed attendance more than anything else we shipped. When a host can approve or decline each request, the people who show up are the people who genuinely intend to come. Hosts consistently report far fewer no-shows once they switched from open RSVPs to approvals.

We reveal a venue's exact address only after a guest is approved. Early on we learned that publishing the full address upfront made hosts anxious, so privacy-first address reveal is now built into every event by default.

How Hosting On Event Flo Actually Works

Written from running the platform, not from customer quotes. We do not publish testimonials we cannot attribute to a real, consenting member, so this section describes the mechanics instead.

A house party host creates the listing, sets capacity and a per-head price, and leaves approvals on. Each RSVP arrives with the guest's verified name, photo and ID status, and the host accepts or declines it. The exact address unlocks for a guest only once they are approved. At the door the host scans QR codes from a browser; no app install, and offline admits reconcile when the connection returns.

A run club or weekly sports organiser publishes a recurring listing and reuses the approved list week to week. Because each signup is tied to a verified identity (verification is on by default) rather than an anonymous form, organisers tell us the drop-off between signup and turnout is the thing that changes most.

A guest completes government ID verification once, then RSVPs to any event. Tickets are free of platform fees: guests pay the host directly by UPI, bank transfer or cash at the door, and Event Flo never processes the payment.

How can I host a party or event on Event Flo?

Sign up for a free account, complete ID verification, then click "Create Event". Set your event name, date, location, capacity, ticket price (or free), and guest approval rules. Your listing goes live in minutes, visible to members in your city.

How much can I earn by hosting events?

Hosts keep 100% of ticket revenue. There are zero platform fees and zero commission cuts. As an example, a 40-person house party charging ₹300 per head works out to ₹12,000 in a single evening. Guests pay you directly (your UPI, bank transfer, or cash at the door), so the money is yours the moment they pay.

How will I know who is attending my house party?

Government ID verification is on by default: RSVPs are blocked until the guest's ID is verified, and hosts can turn it off per event. You see their full name, photo, and ID status on your host dashboard. You can approve or reject each request. On the day, your door team scans QR codes from any phone browser and confirms attendance in seconds.

When and how do I receive my hosting earnings?

Immediately. Guests pay you directly, so there is no platform payout to wait for. Collect by your own UPI, bank transfer, or cash at the door, on whatever terms you set. You receive the full ticket amount with no deductions, and the host dashboard tracks your gross revenue.

Do I need to pay any platform fee to list an event?

No. Event Flo charges 0% platform fees permanently. Listing an event is free. Ticketing and check-in are free. There is no commission: guests pay you directly, so your revenue is always yours.

Why is Event Flo free? What is the catch?

There is no paid tier, no subscription and no per-event charge. Event Flo never processes payments: guests pay you directly by UPI, bank transfer or cash, so there is no transaction cost to pass on and no cut to take. Listing, ticketing, guest ID checks, approvals and QR check-in are all included.

Can I control who gets into my private event?

Yes. Set the event to Private and every RSVP request comes to you for manual approval. You see the guest's verified profile before approving. You can also set a guest list cap, gender ratio preferences, and auto-approve rules for returning guests.

Is Event Flo free to join as a guest?

Yes. Joining Event Flo is completely free. Create an account, verify your government ID once, and you can browse and RSVP to events in any city. Some events charge a ticket price set by the host; many are free.

How does the ID verification process work?

After signing up, upload a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, or driver's licence). A person on our team reviews it, usually within an hour, and your document is never shared with hosts or other guests. Verification is one-time and unlocks every event that has ID verification on (the default).

How do I find events near me?

Go to the Discover page and filter by city, category (concerts, meetups, house parties, sports, workshops), or date. Every listing is from a verified host, and guest government ID checks are on by default.

How do I RSVP to a private house party?

Find the event on Discover, tap Request to Join, and the host reviews your verified profile. If approved you receive a confirmation with a QR code. Show the QR at the door and staff scan it for instant entry.

Are events on Event Flo safe to attend?

Safety is the core product. Every host is ID-verified and rated by past guests. Guest government ID checks are on by default, so RSVPs are blocked until the guest's ID is verified. Hosts can blacklist guests, and attendees can review events afterwards. There are no anonymous RSVPs when verification is on.
