Frequently asked questions
How do I find events near me?
Use the city filter to select your location, then browse available events. You can also filter by category (house party, sports, club night) and date to find exactly what you are looking for.
What types of events are available?
Event Flo hosts house parties, club nights, sports matches (badminton, football), social meetups, game nights, and community gatherings. Guest ID verification is on by default for every event except business events.
How do I register for an event?
Click on any event to see details, then click "Register" or "Request to Join". Some events require host approval before your registration is confirmed. You will receive a QR code ticket once approved.
Can I see events in different cities?
Yes! Use the city filter to browse events in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi (India) or New York, San Francisco, Austin, Los Angeles (USA).
How do I know if an event is free?
Event pricing is displayed on each event card. Look for "Free" or the ticket price. Many community events and sports matches are free, while premium gatherings may have a ticket price.
What does ID-verified mean?
ID-verified means a member has verified their identity with a government-issued ID. Verification is on by default for every event except business events, so a guest who signs up through the event page is confirmed only after their ID is verified (hosts can turn it off per event), creating a safer community.
Can I save events for later?
Yes! Click the save icon on any event to add it to your saved events. Access your saved events from your profile to register when you are ready.
What events are happening this weekend?
Use the date filter to select Saturday or Sunday and see every verified event running this weekend across your city. Featured Events at the top of Discover are sorted by RSVP momentum, so the busiest weekend events surface first.
Are there free events near me?
Yes. Many house parties, run clubs, sports matches, and community meetups on Event Flo are free to attend. The price tag on every event card shows "Free" or the ticket price upfront, so you can filter at a glance.
How do I find events happening tonight?
Open Discover, set the date filter to today, and you will see every event still accepting RSVPs. Club nights, late-night parties, and last-minute meetups all surface here. Each event lists its start time and whether walk-ins are accepted.
What makes Event Flo different?
Event Flo features a unified feed of house parties, sports matches, club nights, restaurant events, and meetups. You can find both a weekend party and a sports partner in the same verified community.
How does Sports Matchmaking work?
If you want to play a sport but are short of players, you can create a Sports Matchmaking event. Other verified players can see your request, check your skill level, and join your game. It is built for finding consistent partners for badminton, paddle, or run clubs.
Is Event Flo free to use?
Yes. Browsing and discovering events on Event Flo is completely free, and hosting is free too — hosts earn directly from ticket sales with 0% platform fees. Individual ticket prices are set by each host and vary by event.
How do I host a house party safely?
Keep government ID verification on (it is on by default), so each guest who signs up through the event page is confirmed only after their ID is verified. Your exact address is shared only with approved guests, 2 hours before the event starts, and you can approve or reject each request individually — so you keep full control over who attends.
How do I browse events by category and date in my city?
On Event Flo's Discover page, pick your city, then a category — House Party, Club Night, Concert, Meetup, Sports or Run Club — and a date: Tonight, Tomorrow or This weekend. Tap Refine to choose your own date range, show free entry only, filter by vibe, or keep to ID-verified hosts. Each city also has its own events page, such as event-flo.com/events/pune.
How do I filter events by safety and verification status?
In Event Flo's Discover, tap Refine and, under Trust, turn on ID-verified hosts only — events from hosts whose government ID is not verified drop out. On the event page, a Verified Only badge means a guest who signs up there is confirmed only after their ID is verified, which is the default for new events. House parties also keep the exact address hidden until the host approves you, from 2 hours before start, and every ticket is a single-use QR code checked at the door.
What is the best event discovery app for authentic local experiences?
For small, real-world experiences run by people rather than venues, such as house parties, run clubs, supper clubs and meetups, Event Flo is built for exactly that: hosts of public and members-only events must pass government ID verification before the event goes live, guest ID checks are on by default, and hosts approve who comes, so the room is made of real people. A private event can go live before its host is verified, with guests joining by invite or at the door until then. For large concerts and shows, ticketing apps like BookMyShow and District carry more of that inventory. Event Flo's Discover filters by city, category and date, including Tonight and This weekend.
What events are available in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai?
Event Flo has a city page for each — event-flo.com/events/delhi, /events/bangalore and /events/mumbai — with house parties, club nights, concerts, meetups, sports games and run clubs as hosts publish them. What is on changes day to day, so open the city page, or Discover filtered to the city, and choose Tonight, Tomorrow or This weekend. Hosts of public and members-only events must pass government ID verification before the event goes live, and guest ID checks are on by default. A private event can go live before its host is verified.
