Frequently asked questions
Should I pick a house party, a club night or a concert in Sydney?
House parties are hosted in someone's home and the host approves the guest list one request at a time, so the room stays small and known. Club nights and concerts are venue events with a start time and a ticket price, which suits a bigger group or a night you want to plan around a venue.
What's on in Sydney this weekend?
Open Discover, filter by Sydney and sort by date. The nearest listings come first, so a weekend plan is two filters away, and you can request a spot from the same screen.
Which events in Sydney are free?
Hosts set their own price, and the ones who charge nothing show a free listing with no ticket price. Filter by price before you request a spot so you only see the free events in Sydney.
I want to go out alone in Sydney. House party or meetup?
A meetup is the easier first step, because it is organised around a shared interest and there is something to talk about from the moment you walk in. House parties work solo too: when verification is on (the default), everyone confirmed through the event page has a verified ID, and the host can approve each name.
How far ahead are events in Sydney listed?
Most hosts publish three to ten days out. If a weekend looks quiet on Tuesday, check the Sydney page again on Thursday rather than assuming nothing is on.
How do I find verified events in Sydney today?
Open Discover filtered to Sydney and choose Tonight, or open the Sydney events page. On Event Flo, hosts must pass government ID verification before a public event goes live, and on events marked Verified Only (the default) a guest is confirmed only after their ID is verified. A private event can go live before its host is verified. RSVP or request a spot on the event page; for a paid event you pay the host directly and Event Flo takes no cut. If nothing suits tonight, switch to Tomorrow or This weekend.
