Searching "things to do in Mumbai this weekend" gets you the same ten listicles — Marine Drive, Elephanta, a mall. Useful if you landed yesterday. Not useful if you live here and want a room full of people on Saturday night. This guide is the second kind.
Start with what’s actually listed
Before any curated suggestion, check the live inventory: events in Mumbai this weekend shows everything published on Event Flo for Friday through Sunday, filtered to the city. Every host and every guest on those listings has passed government ID verification, and the address for private events is only released to approved guests shortly before start. That single page is the difference between "things to do" and "things you can actually walk into."
Inventory changes weekly and some weekends are thinner than others — hosts publish three to ten days out, so check again on Thursday if Tuesday looks quiet.
Friday night: house parties and supper clubs
Mumbai’s house-party scene runs on approval, not open doors. Hosts in Bandra, Andheri, Lower Parel and Powai publish a capped list, guests request a spot, and the host approves. The full mechanics — how to get approved, what to bring, what it costs — are in the Mumbai house party guide. The short version for this weekend:
Verify your ID once on Event Flo (about five minutes).
Browse house parties in Mumbai and request a spot at two — not one. Approval rates are good but not guaranteed.
Supper clubs and private dinners sit in the same listings; filter by the "supper club" or "dinner" tag if the party format isn’t your Friday.
Typical entry for a ticketed house party in Mumbai runs ₹300–800 per head, paid directly to the host via UPI or at the door. Event Flo doesn’t sit in the middle of that payment.
Saturday: meetups, workshops, nightlife
Saturday is the widest slot. Three formats worth searching specifically:
Meetups and interest groups. Board-game nights, language exchanges, founder coffees, book clubs — browse meetups in Mumbai or the meet-people events feed if your goal is new faces rather than a specific hobby.
Nightlife with a guest list. Verified guest-list nights at bars and venues mean you skip the "are you on the list" negotiation at the door. Safer for solo attendees too — see the house party safety checklist.
Daytime workshops. Pottery, cooking, photo walks. These rarely get promoted beyond Instagram, so a listing platform is often the only place they appear with a real RSVP.
Sunday morning: run clubs
If you do one thing in Mumbai on a Sunday morning, run it. Marine Drive at 6 a.m., Bandra’s Carter Road promenade, Worli Sea Face, the Powai lake loop — the city’s best public spaces are empty and cool for about two hours a week, and that’s exactly when the run clubs meet. We wrote a dedicated route-by-route guide: Sunday run clubs in Mumbai. For the live list, see run clubs in Mumbai.
Most Sunday runs are free, beginner-friendly, and end in breakfast. They are also — quietly — one of the better ways to meet people in the city without the pressure of a party.
By neighbourhood
Bandra / Khar: densest house-party and supper-club inventory; Carter Road and Bandstand for Sunday runs.
Andheri / Versova / Juhu: creative-industry parties, comedy rooms, Juhu beach runs.
Lower Parel / Worli: rooftop and terrace events, Worli Sea Face running, most of the city’s venue-based nightlife.
Powai: lake-loop run clubs, tech-crowd meetups, quieter apartment parties.
South Mumbai (Colaba, Fort, Marine Drive): Marine Drive sunrise runs, gallery and heritage walks, older-crowd dinners.
Thane / Navi Mumbai: growing but thinner — check this weekend’s listings rather than assuming.
If you want to host instead
Half the people searching "things to do this weekend" would rather be the plan than find one. Listing a house party, supper club or Sunday run on Event Flo is free — no subscription, no platform fee — and you approve every guest. Our guide to where to list an event for free compares the options; how to host a house party covers the night itself.
A simple plan for this weekend
Thursday: verify ID, request spots at two Friday or Saturday parties.
Friday: party or supper club — arrive within 30 minutes of start; hosts notice.
Saturday: one meetup or workshop in the day, one guest-list night if you have energy left.
Sunday: 6 a.m. run, breakfast with the club, sleep by 9 p.m.
Do that twice and you’ll stop searching "things to do in Mumbai this weekend" — people will be sending you the plans.
