Verify your ID for public events

Public and members-only events go live once your ID is approved. Private events don't need it: until you're verified, a private event is invite-only and you add the guests yourself.

Step 1: Pick who can see your event

In the create form, tap the visibility button near the top (it starts on Public). Public and, once you run a community, Members only wait for your ID. Private is unlisted, and you add the guests yourself, so nobody needs to verify an ID.

Step 2: Save it and tap Upload your ID

Save your event. A public or members-only event is kept as a draft that only you can see. The screen after saving offers Upload your ID, and so does the Command center, where the draft is marked Waiting for ID.

Step 3: Pick a photo of your ID

Choose a clear photo of a government photo ID. The hint names the documents that work where you are. The upload starts at once and the draft now says ID in review: it goes live as soon as it's approved, usually within an hour.

Step 4: Check your status any time

Tap the Menu button at the top left. Under Account, the line with the shield shows your ID status, with Upload or Upload again when there is something to send. On a computer it's the Trust ledger at the foot of the left sidebar. Profile > Verification shows the same status, and the reviewer's note if your ID was turned down.

Step 5: Share your event once it's live

When your ID is approved, your upcoming drafts go live by themselves. The bell shows Your event is live and we email you. Tap Copy link to share it.

Good to know

Approval publishes every upcoming draft you have at once. Delete any draft you don't want to go live.

A draft whose date has passed doesn't go live. Change the date, then publish it.

Until you're verified, guests can't register for your private event from its link. Its page says Invite only: the host adds guests to this event. Add them with Add a guest or Import a guest list. Once you're verified, guests can register from the link.

Until you're verified, you can send up to 300 pass and certificate emails a day.

There is no separate host application. Your ID is the only review.
