Create a private event
A private event is unlisted: it never shows on Discover. Only people you send the link to, or guests you add yourself, can see it and join.
Before you start
No ID needed. Private events go live straight away, verified or not.
Step 1: Fill in your event
Open the create form and fill it in as in Create an event: cover, name, date, category, location, description and capacity.
Step 2: Pick Private
Tap the Public button at the top right of the form and pick Private: unlisted, and only people with the link can see it and register.
Step 3: Publish
The line above the button now starts with Unlisted, link only. Tap Publish event.
Step 4: Send the link yourself
On Your event is live!, tap Copy link or share it on WhatsApp. A private event has no X or Facebook buttons, because its link should go person to person.
Step 5: No verified ID yet? Add your guests
Without a verified ID, a private event still goes live, but nobody can register through its link. The card says Private · you add the guests: tap Add guests to put people on your list and send their passes. See Add a guest.
Good to know
Once your ID is approved, anyone with the link can register for your private events.
Without a verified ID, the Guest ID check switch is hidden on a private event, since you add every guest yourself.
Making a private event public needs your ID verified. Until then the editor keeps it private and says Your changes weren't saved. The event is still private.
Adding a lot of people? Import a guest list from a CSV or Excel file.
