Verify your ID
Many events on Event Flo check ID. You upload a photo of a government photo ID once and someone on the Event Flo team reviews it. It covers every event after that.
Before you start
You have an Event Flo account. You can register for an event first and upload your ID after.
Step 1: Tap Upload your ID on the event
After you register for an event that checks ID, its ticket box says Request saved (or Almost in) with an Upload your ID button. On a phone, the bar at the bottom of the event page also says One ID check left.
Step 2: Or upload it from your profile
You can verify any time, even if you haven't registered for anything yet. Tap your picture at the top right, then Profile. In the Organizer OS, tap the Menu button at the top left, then Profile. Under Verification, tap Upload identity document.
Step 3: Pick a clear photo of your ID
Take a photo or pick one from your phone. The hint under Verification names the documents that work where you are. Get the whole card in frame, in focus and without glare. The upload starts as soon as you pick the photo.
Step 4: Wait for the review
The event page now says ID under review, usually within an hour. Your profile shows Pending review. There is nothing else to do: we email you when it's approved.
Step 5: Check that you're verified
Once it's approved, Verification on your profile says Verified. Requests you saved move on by themselves. If the event needs approval, your request goes to the host. If it's full, you join the waitlist. Otherwise you're confirmed.
Good to know
The documents we name depend on your profile city. If we don't recognise the city, we go by your phone or computer's time zone. India: Aadhaar, PAN, passport or driving licence. United States: passport, driver's license or state ID. Elsewhere: passport or national ID card. These are examples of the government photo IDs we accept.
Images only: JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, under 10 MB. PDFs don't work.
Hosts never see your document. They only see that you're verified.
We delete your ID file 7 days after it's approved.
Once you're verified, the date of birth on your profile is locked. To correct it, contact support.
Your spot is confirmed only after your ID is approved. A saved request doesn't hold a seat, so if the event fills up first you join the waitlist.
Some hosts turn ID check off. You can register for those events without verifying.
