Fix a rejected ID

If your ID isn't approved, the reviewer writes a short note saying why. Read it, take a better photo and upload it again. Requests you saved wait for you.

Step 1: Read why it wasn't approved

We email you An update on your Event Flo ID verification with the reviewer's note. In the app, open Profile: Verification says Not approved, and Why it was not approved shows the note.

Step 2: Or check the event you registered for

The ticket box of an event where you saved a request shows the same note, starting Your ID wasn't accepted, with an Upload again button.

Step 3: Take a clearer photo

Do what the note asks first. Then check the basics. Get the whole document in frame with all four corners showing. Make it sharp enough to read the name, with no glare or flash reflection. Don't crop, filter or edit it. Use a real government photo ID, not a photocopy or a picture of a screen.

Step 4: Upload the new photo

Under Verification, tap Upload a new document and pick the new photo. It uploads straight away.

Step 5: Wait for the new review

The status changes to Pending review. Review is usually within an hour, and we email you when it's approved. Requests you saved then move on by themselves.

Good to know

The reviewer checks your ID against the date of birth on your profile. If your profile date is wrong, fix it in your profile before you upload again.

A photo that was turned down isn't kept. It's deleted automatically.

Saved requests stay saved until the event ends, but they don't hold a seat. If an event fills up before you're approved, you join its waitlist.
