Getting started as a host

Everything a new host does, in order, from signing up to letting the first guest in. Each step links to a full guide.

Step 1: Create your account

Sign up with your email or Google; there's no host application to fill in. If you sign up through Host an event, the last screen offers Create your first event. See Create an account.

Step 2: Create your first event

With no events yet, the Organizer OS shows Set up your first event. Tap Create your first event, fill in the form and publish. See Create an event.

Step 3: Verify your ID

Public and members-only events go live only once your ID is approved. Private events don't need it. In the Organizer OS menu, the Account section shows your ID status (on a computer, the Trust ledger at the foot of the sidebar); tap Upload and follow Verify your ID for public events.

Step 4: Share your event

The Command center shows a share row under your event: Copy link and buttons for WhatsApp, X and Facebook. Send the link wherever your guests are. See Share your event.

Step 5: Approve requests, if you asked to

If you turned on Require approval, each registration waits under Approvals on the Command center until you tap Approve or decline it. See Approve or decline requests.

Step 6: Check guests in at the door

On the day, open Check-in from the menu and tap Launch scanner to scan each guest's ticket. See Scan tickets at the door.

Good to know

Event Flo never takes payments. If you charge, guests pay you directly using the details you give them. See Tell guests how to pay.

Guest ID check is on by default for every event except business events: a guest is confirmed only after their ID is approved. You can turn it off per event.

Want help at the door? Add door staff to scan tickets with you.

Check-in works any time, so you can scan your own pass to see the scanner work before the event. Then undo that check-in from Guests.
