Create a members-only event

A members-only event belongs to your community. Only its members can see it and register; anyone else who opens the link sees your community instead.

Before you start

You run or co-host a community. See Create a community.

Your ID is approved. Without it, the event saves as a draft until it is.

Step 1: Fill in your event

Open the create form and fill it in as in Create an event: cover, name, date, category, location, description and capacity.

Step 2: Host it as your community

Tap the You button at the top left of the form and pick your community.

Step 3: Pick Members only

Tap the Public button at the top right and pick Members only. It names your community: only its members can see the event and register.

Step 4: Publish

The line above the button starts with Members only. Tap Publish event.

Step 5: Share it with your members

The live card names who can come, for example Members of Indiranagar Social Club. Share the link with your community: members open the event, and everyone else sees your community page.

Good to know

Members only is in the menu once you run a community. See Create a community.

Members only is greyed out while you are the host: Switch the host from You to a community first.

Switching the host back to You makes a members-only event private.

Community co-hosts can create members-only events for it too.

New people join through your community page. See Manage community members.
