Manage community members and co-hosts

From your community's card in My communities you can approve join requests, see who's in, make members co-hosts and remove people.

Step 1: Approve or decline join requests

Open My communities. If people are waiting, the card lists them under a line such as 1 waiting to join. Tap Approve to let someone in, or Decline and confirm with Decline request.

Step 2: Open the member list

Tap the members count on the card, such as 5 members. Members opens below, with each person's role: Owner, Co-host or Member.

Step 3: Make someone a co-host

Tap Make co-host under a member's name. A co-host can edit the page, decide join requests and post photos. To undo it, tap Demote to member.

Step 4: Remove a member

Tap Remove from community under their name, then Remove member. They lose the members-only details straight away. They can ask to join again later.

Step 5: Undo a decline

Declined requests are folded away at the bottom of the card, under a line such as 1 declined. Tap it, then Let them in to make them a member, or Let them ask again so they can send a new request.

Good to know

To turn approval on or off, tap Edit on the card, change Require host approval to join and tap Save changes. Turning it off doesn't let in people who are already waiting.

Only the owner can appoint co-hosts or delete the community. A co-host can remove members but not other co-hosts.

Co-hosts help run the whole community. There are no co-hosts for a single event.

Someone you decline can't ask again from your page unless you tap Let them ask again.
