Join a community

Before you start

Your ID is verified. See Verify your ID.

Step 1: Open the community page

Open the community from a link the host shares, or browse Communities. A members-only event link shows Members-only event to non-members, with a button that takes you to the community.

Step 2: Verify your ID first

If your ID isn't verified, the button reads Verify your ID to join and takes you to your profile to upload it. While it's checked, the button says ID under review. Unlike events, you can't save a request before your ID is approved.

Step 3: Tap Join Community or Request to Join

Tap Join Community to join straight away. If the host approves each member, the button says Request to Join.

Step 4: Wait for the host

If the host approves members, the button changes to Request Pending until they decide. If they decline, it says Request not approved.

Step 5: Open the group chat

Once you're in, the page shows You are in with the host's welcome note. Tap Open the group chat to join the group's chat.

Step 6: See members-only events

Members-only events now show under Upcoming Events on the community page. Open one and register as usual.

Good to know

To leave, tap Leave on the community page.
