Cancel or delete an event
Cancel an event that isn't happening: guests are told why, and the event stays listed as cancelled. Delete is for drafts and mistakes: it removes the event and emails nobody.
Step 1: Open the editor
Open My events from the menu and tap Edit on the event.
Step 2: Scroll to the Danger zone
At the bottom of the editor, Danger zone has Cancel event and Delete.
Step 3: Cancel the event
Tap Cancel event, write the Reason for guests, then tap Cancel event again. Keep event closes it without changing anything.
Step 4: What cancelling does
Confirmed and waitlisted guests get an email with your reason, and their tickets stop working. The event stays listed as cancelled, and the editor shows when and why.
Step 5: Delete an event
Tap Delete, then Delete event. Nobody is emailed and it can't be undone, so if guests hold tickets, tap Cancel the event instead.
Good to know
Guests you added or imported yourself aren't emailed when you cancel. Let them know yourself.
Event Flo doesn't handle refunds. If guests paid you, sort out refunds with them directly.
A draft has no Cancel event. Delete it instead.
You can also delete from My events with the bin button on an event, or with the × on an event in the Command center.
A cancelled event can still be deleted later.
