Add door staff

Before you start

Your event is live. Drafts can't take door staff: Guests and door staff can be added once your event is live.

The person has an Event Flo account with the email address you will type. If they don't, ask them to sign up first.

Step 1: Find Door staff on Check-in

In the Organizer OS, tap the Menu button, then Check-in. Scroll down to Door staff and tap Add door staff.

Step 2: Type their email and tap Add

Type the email address of their Event Flo account in the box that shows staff@email.com, then tap Add. Event Flo emails them an invite and they also get a notification.

Step 3: Wait for them to accept

Their address shows with Invite sent, waiting for them to accept and Pending. They accept from the email or the notification. See Join a door team and scan for a host.

Step 4: See who is on your door team

Once they accept, they are listed by name. On event day they open the door scanner on their phone and scan as you do.

Step 5: Remove someone

Tap Remove next to their name, then Remove again to confirm. They can't scan for this event any more. To add them back, send a new invite.

Good to know

Door staff can scan passes, search guests by name, add walk-ins and, if you track payments, mark guests paid. On a paid event they also see your payment details.

Door staff can't undo a check-in. You can, from Guests.

There are no roles or separate logins: everyone you add gets the same scanner.

Door staff are added per event. Invite them again for your next event.

For privacy, you see the same message whether or not the email has an account: If that account exists, we have sent them a door-team invite to accept. If they don't get it, check they signed up with that address.

The Pending line shows only while you stay on the screen. Invites still waiting aren't listed later, so until someone accepts, the panel shows just Add door staff again.

An invite lasts 14 days and works only for the account with that email.
