Why an event QR scanner beats a paper list

A scan takes about half a second, so one staff member can process over 200 guests an hour; finding a name on a printed list takes fifteen to thirty seconds per guest, which is what produces the queue outside the door. Digital ticket scanning also gives you a timestamped, deduplicated record per guest instead of a tally you reconcile the next morning.

Every Event Flo ticket is validated server-side and marked used on first scan, so a screenshot of someone else's code works exactly once and never twice. Event entry management on the night

Staff one scanner for events under 50 guests, two for 50–150 (one scanning, one checking IDs), and open a second entry lane beyond that. Guests whose code will not scan are handled by manual name search; pending registrations can be approved from the host dashboard at the door and re-scanned.

The scanner validates tickets server-side, so plan for connectivity: download the confirmed guest list as a CSV or PDF backup before doors, and put a hotspot on the entry point if the venue has dead zones. That backup list is the manual fallback if signal drops.
